Control System
Current
Workplace
I work in
retail services for OSL right now. My current job is in electronics, where our
primary goals are to give customers the best products and increase sales. OSL
focuses on hiring the right people to provide positive customer experiences and
spur business growth to meet the needs of their partners. They have proven they
can grow, adapt, and deliver as the retail industry changes. The OSL leadership
team is responsive, inventive, and constantly searching for ways to strengthen
their work force and culture to be able to adapt to our altering business
priorities. They have also established solid, committed connections with both
our head office and field employees.
Output
control
If we talk about output control then within an organization, output control is concerned with outcomes that can be measured.
As working in retail business, we are concerned with the number of sales, and
we usually compare our sales with our previous year sales. This is done to know
more about business progress. Leaders are responsible for determining the
acceptable level of performance, informing the appropriate personnel of those
expectations, monitoring whether those expectations are met, and making any
necessary adjustments. At our store we usually offer protection plans on
various electronic devices and employees get rewards when they sell more.
Behavioural
control
The goal of behavioral control is to manage the behavior that produce results in the end. At our workplace our company has a uniform policy, and all the employees need to make sure that they are in proper uniform and have their name tags on while working. Because people tend to concentrate their efforts on the activities that are rewarded, building an effective reward structure is essential to manage behavior efficiently. When employees are rewarded for actions that on the surface look favorable but in some cases may really work against organizational objectives, problems might occur. Our company has a rule that involves signing in and signing out of keys in an effort to deter employee theft.
Clan
Control
Clan control describes the ideals and principles of a
group that behaves more like a family than a business. Clan control is
typically used in organizations where employee innovation and fresh ideas are
crucial. Since performance is dependent on creativity, regulations are not
necessary in this situation. But our company has a friendly environment but not
activities like innovative projects or something new.
